Among the serious charges levelled in the FIR, one is of particular concern. It says Islamists who attacked the Hindu procession in Mira Road, threw up on a flag bearing the image of Lord Hanuman, a devoted companion of Lord Ram and one of the foremost deities in his own right.
The killer reportedly uploaded a video with swords and knives in hand, confessing to the crime and appealing co-religionists to execute more murders like that. The man in the video is seen chanting the slogans of ‘Labbaik Ya Rasool-Allah (Here I am at your service, O Messenger of Allah) and “Gustakh-E-Nabi ki ek saza, sar tan se juda’ (there is only one punishment for blasphemy and that is beheading).
Contrary to the myth that Britain gave many gifts to India, the British Raj was a cruel and oppressive regime responsible for the deaths of an estimated 35 million Indians.
The followings are some examples of the anti-human records of Britain in India, which has one of the blackest colonial records among Europeans.
From late August to the 20th of September 2022, Hindus and Hindu temples in Leicester were targeted and attacked. Violent attacks and vandalism of homes by Islamist mobs over 3 consecutive nights of the 4th, 5th and 6th of September 2022, had left the Hindu community in Leicester afraid for their safety.
In yet another manifestation of how Pakistan’s ‘blasphemy’ laws — laws penalising criticism of Islam and its founder — are repeatedly used for persecuting religious minorities, a Hindu man has been found not guilty of blasphemy, after spending five years in jail amid death threats.
A significant decline in the Hindu and Sikh population has also happened in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Every year, a few thousand Hindu and Sikh girls are forcefully abducted, converted and married to their abductors in Pakistan. The attack on Nankana Sahib Gurudwara (Sikh Temple) in Pakistan on January 3rd, 2020 is a glaring example.
