The most conservative estimate, given by magazines, is that 375 Hindus were killed. But first hand accounts state that more than 5000 Hindus were brutally slaughtered in the protest, and many more injured. The dead bodies were removed immediately and dumped away or put into fire

Commenting on the attack, an official said, “The firing ended within 10 minutes. First, they attacked a house in Upper Dangri and then they moved 25 meters away and shot several people there. They also fired on another house 25 meters away from the second house while fleeing the village.”

He said a total of 10 people were hit by bullets and three of them were declared brought dead at the Government Medical College hospital, Rajouri.

So how did the Western media get it so wrong about The Kerala Story? There are two reasons. First, the so-called liberal media in the West has a deep-rooted bias against Hindus. For instance, in 2014, when India became the first nation to reach Mars in the first attempt, the New York Times published a cartoon showing an Indian farmer with a cow knocking on the door of the elite space club.[12]
