Hindus constantly face the issue of forced conversion. Minority groups have expressed concerns about the persecution of Hindus and threats to their places of worship. In 2007 the only Hindu temple in Lahore was demolished to make way for a commercial building.
A video showing the man calling the Indian-American man a “dirty Hindu” and a “disgusting dog has surfaced online. Krishnan Jayaraman was verbally attacked by 37-year-old Tejinder Singh. The incident took place in the Taco Bell at Grimmer Boulevard in Fremont, California on August 21, NBC News reported on Wednesday.
Religious minorities routinely face violence. For example, last year 154 people of religious minorities, including Hindus, were killed and 360 injured, according to the council.
Several incidents of vandalism of houses, places of worship and businesses that resulted in the loss of nearly 220 million taka (US$2.15 million), were also reported last, year the council records show.
Muslims make up nearly 91 percent of Bangladesh’s population of 165 million, according to the 2022 national census. Hindus constitute about 8 percent and the rest is shared by Buddhism, Christianity and others.

The Hindu community in the city came together to colour each other in various shades as a celebratory mood took over the streets even amid Pakistan’s many troubles. “Holi is a festival where the concept is about the victory of good over evil,” said Nandani Kothari, a women from the Pakistani Hindu community told the Associated Press.
