Hindu Foundation New Zealand shared its concerns though its facebook page in regards to the arson attack on Sri Ram Temple in West Auckland. In the video message Praveen Kumar, the managing Trustee of Shri Ram Mandir Charitable Trust conveyed the perpetrated arson attack that happened on Saturday 21 Oct, 2022. The video message was released on Nov 4 as taken before the Ram Temple in presence of local MP Phil Twyford.
The British Sanatan Dharmic Alliance organised an event called Freedom of Hindu Beliefs. It was a first of its kind event, bringing together prominent parliamentary figures, community leaders, Hindu rights activists, academics and members of the diverse Hindu community.
In what can be called a classic clase of gaslighting through blatant distortion of facts, The Guardian in its recent editorial blamed Hindus living in the UK for the recent Leicester violence and also peddled fake news that mosques were attacked by Hindus of the city.
Australian sociologist and academic Salvatore Babones said,though the main information sheet published by the conference organisers emphasised that “calling out Hindutva is not anti-Hindu”, “the parallel with the anti-Semitic trope that ‘calling out Zionism is not anti-Jewish’ is crystal clear”.
On October 11, controversial Islamist ‘activist’ Majid Freeman took to Twitter to inform that he had a ‘productive meeting’ with the Mayor of Leicester. He claimed that the Mayor made some commitments regarding the allegedly rising “Islamophobia” and acknowledged the “Hindutva” ideology was causing disorder. Majid Freeman, linked to links to terror organisations, is one of those Islamists who fanned the Leicester riots with fake news.
